Main Street Flemington
Flemington began as a crossroads between commerce and agriculture in the 1600s, agriculture being a huge part of Flemington and Hunterdon County still today. Flemington became famous in the 1830s with the Lindbergh trial taking place in the County Courthouse on Flemington Main Street. Today, Flemington Main Street is undergoing a transformation, with some fantastic new businesses, including the redevelopment of the Union Hotel originally built in the 1830s, as part of the new Courthouse Square project by Jack Cust. Let’s start our stroll at the Flemington Main Street Post Office on the corner of Main Street and Capner Street.
The Consignment Shop of Flemington
In the same building as the Post Office is a small but charming thift store, the Consignment Shop of Flemington. A fully volunteered store that sells gently used women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, and more with 100% of the profit going to Hunterdon County agencies serving victims of domestic abuse. Cash only. Hours are : Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 11am to 3pm, Thursday 11am to 7pm.
JS Shaker Cafe
Located at 31 Main Street, Shaker Cafe has been serving breakfast and lunch to customers for many years. A local cafe with great food and a friendly atmosphere, open Monday to Sunday 7.30am to 3.30pm.
Main Street Pizza & Taco
Located at 31 Main Street, this eatery offers pizza with in house mixed dough, street tacos, and more! Order in store or online. Open Monday through Saturday 10.30am to 9pm and Sunday 11am to 8pm.
Bistro 55
A Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Flemington serving authentic egyptian cuisine in a beautiful setting. Bistro 55 serves brunch, lunch and dinner every day of the week except Wednesdays.

The Corner
Crossing the pedestrian crossing by The Happy Peacock you will find yourself in front of The Corner, at 52 Main Street. A boutique retail store with high end clothing, gifts, and accessories in a beautiful old building. David Norton the owner, also has a portrait photography and headshot studio within the building. Open Tuesday through Sunday 11am-7pm with later hours Thursday and Friday.

Located at 48 Main Street, this colorful storefront is filled with vintage, nostalgia, pre-loved clothing, vinyl records, and goods made by local artists. A true collaboration of art and music and fun. Open Wednesday through Sunday 11am to 6pm.
