WELCOME TO FLEMINGTON MAIN STREET!

Flemington began as a crossroads between commerce and agriculture in the 1600s, agriculture being a huge part of Flemington and Hunterdon County still today. Flemington became famous in the 1830s with the Lindbergh trial taking place in the County Courthouse on Flemington Main Street. Today, Flemington Main Street is undergoing a transformation, with some fantastic new businesses, including the redevelopment of the Union Hotel originally built in the 1830s, as part of the new Courthouse Square project by Jack Cust. Let’s start at the Flemington Main Street Post Office on the corner of Main Street and Capner Street.

The Consignment Shop of Flemington

In the same building as the Post Office is a small but charming thift store, the Consignment Shop of Flemington. A fully volunteered store that sells gently used women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, and more with 100% of the profit going to Hunterdon County agencies serving victims of domestic abuse. Cash only. Hours are : Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 11am to 3pm, Thursday 11am to 7pm.
